Exploring the Bible through stories and biblical teaching

The way many politicians have behaved over the last few years has been shocking, and it is no wonder that many voters are angry and sceptical about our government.
But the Bible tells us to be subject to them. What does this actually mean in practice?
That is straightforward, where a government is God-fearing and faithful, but what about a bad dictator situation?
What are the governing authorities' responsibilities?
Is it right to ever rebel against the government and authorities?If we say ‘no’, then we condemn people like Oliver Cromwell, the Puritans of the 17th century, and Christians who took part in the American War of Independence.
Is the apostle Paul saying that every particular leader has been ordained by God?
This podcast should provide a biblical grounding for Christian’s to respond to their governing authorities in a God-pleasing way.
 

Throughout the Bible, we can learn what God is like by reading the stories, direct revelation from God himself, his prophets, how he dealt with Israel and the life and teachings of Jesus Christ. In the Bible, God is spoken of as:
    A real person.    A King giving orders.    A Master workman carrying out his designs and purposes.    A person who can be known.
Even in the Old Testament, God’s heart is seen as wanting people to be His children and in the New Testament, and now he wants....

Completely obeying God's Law is impossible for us to achieve, and yet the apostle Paul expects us to meet the righteous requirements of the law. This applies to all Christians, and not a group of super-spiritual ones. So how is this possible?
Here we look at four points:
What the law could not do. 
Why the law could not do it.
How God has done what the law could not do. 
What is the result in us?
